Biochemistry ended my medical ambitions somewhere around week three of freshman year at the University of Florida. I switched to business, found finance, and never looked back. By senior year, a group of us were running an informal investment portfolio together, pitching ideas to our professor, and converting market gains into spring break money. I was also putting my student loan funds to work in the market. My parents had opinions about that. The returns were persuasive.

I started in the industry in July 2000, which is a polite way of saying my first real market education was a crash. The dot-com collapse taught me more about risk, client psychology, and long-term thinking than any bull run ever could have, and that foundation has informed everything I have done since. A decade at Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley followed, then a boutique practice, and in October 2014 I launched KASE Wealth Advisors. Building something from scratch was always the goal. I hold FINRA Series 7, 31, and 66 registrations along with Life, Health, and Annuities licenses, and a B.S. in Business Administration with concentrations in finance and economics from the University of Florida.

I keep my practice intentionally small. The kind of attention I want to give requires room to actually give it. I work as a financial quarterback for each client, pulling together investment management, planning, tax strategy, and estate coordination while collaborating directly with their outside professionals. Through Fidelity Investments and JW Cole Financial, I operate on a fully open architecture platform. No quotas, no outside pressure. Every recommendation starts and ends with what is right for the person in front of me.

Twenty-five years in, what still catches me off guard is how many clients have quietly become some of my favorite people. That part of the job does not get old.

I grew up in Sarasota with Siesta Key as my backyard and a group of friends I have now known for over 40 years. Two of them live down the street from me in South Tampa today. My wife Jacqueline is my closest friend and my anchor. We met in early 2020 just before the world shut down, which gave us a lot of uninterrupted time to figure out we were right for each other. We married in April 2022. Life together involves pilates, ski trips, pickleball, padel, and as much travel as we can fit in. Las Vegas is a standing tradition. I also hold a membership at Feather Sound Country Club, and we are members of The Stovall House.

Community has always mattered to me. I manage investment assets for Friends of Joshua House and Family Resources, support their charitable work, and contribute to Redefining Refuge. My time with Leadership Tampa Bay, Class of 2013, connected me to people who are serious about this region's future, and many of them remain close professional relationships today.
